California Board of Parole Hearings

The California Board of Parole Hearings (BPH) is the State agency that conducts parole suitability hearings and non-violent offender reviews for inmates serving time in the California Deparmtne of Corrections and Rehabilitation who have been sentenced to life with the possibility of parole or fall under any one of several legislative mandates allowing parole such as Elder Parole, Youth Parole, etc.  The Board is made up of 17 Commissioners appointed by the Governor.  For more information about the Board of Parole Hearings go to https://www.cdcr.ca.gov/bph/
