PUBLIC POLICY

Crime Victims Alliance (CVA) has been active in legislative advocacy since 1992. We were created to be a voice for victims, to educate members of the legislature and the community, about the effects of crime on victims, and to help improve rights and services for victims of violent crimes.

CVA is active in educating government agencies on how their actions and policies may effect victims of crime.

We encourage collaboration between private organizations, law enforcement and state government, creating a society where victims are cared for and treated with respect and dignity. A society where victims are provided the most comprehensive services available and where victims’ rights are acknowledge and enforced.

CVA will provide you with information regarding legislation that we are monitoring during the year and will keep our website as up to date as possible, to provide you with the most current information available. We will do the same regarding regulations and policies that effect victims and the public’s safety.
